Routes on holidays in May

In May there are many holidays and therefore some deviations from the regular schedule, you can find a full overview in our travel planner. 

Routes on public holidays in spring 2026

As a general rule, the buses run Sunday routes on the "red" holidays. On 17 May, the route schedule varies from area to area. Details for your area for May 17 can be found below.

1 May 

  • Buses run Sunday timetables.
  • From May 1, line M1 in Kristiansand will also operate again between Kvadraturen - Dyreparken on Sundays/holidays. 

14 May - Ascension Day

  • Buses run Sunday timetables.

17 May - National day

Please note that there may be delays and deviations as long as local events in Agder are ongoing. Changes may occur in the overview below. There are no night buses in Agder on the night of 18 May.

Kristiansand area:

  • Separate timetable (without night bus). 
  • The buses in the Kristiansand area run a different route via Torridalsveien, Oddernestunnelen, Baneheitunnelen and Vestre Strandgate between 09:00 and 18:00. Details shown in map (Norwegian text)
  • Please note that line M1 does not run between Kvadraturen and Sørlandsparken/Dyreparken/Ikea. Some other lines may also have changes. There will be additional departures to accommodate the parades in Kvadraturen, as well as increased service in the evening.

Note: Other routes may also be subject to changes.

  • M1 Flekkerøy–Kvadraturen: 3 times per hour (all departures to/from Sørlandssenteret/IKEA are cancelled)
  • M2 Hånes–UiA–Kvadraturen–Voiebyen: 3 times per hour
  • M3 Voiebyen Slettheia–Kvadraturen–UiA–Søm: 3 times per hour
  • M4 Hellemyr–Kvadraturen–Tømmerstø: 3 times per hour
  • Line 10 Hospital–Eg–Kvadraturen: 3 times per hour
  • Line 12 Kjos Haveby–Kvadraturen–UiA–Justvik: 3 times per hour
  • Line 15 Tinnheia–Kvadraturen–Lund/UiA: 4 times per hour
  • Line 19 Suldalen–Kvadraturen–UiA–Gimlekollen: 2 times per hour
  • Line 40/40E Søgne/Tangvall - Kristiansand: 2 times per hour
  • Lines: 30, 31, 32, 35, 36, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 51, 52, 56

Arendal, Froland, Grimstad, Lillesand, Birkenes, Risør, Tvedestrand, Åseral, Setesdal: 

Buses run Saturday timetables (without night buses), with the following exceptions:

  • Line 36 run alternative route in Kristiansand between 09:00 and 18:00, via Torridalsveien, Oddernestunnelen, Baneheitunnelen and Vestre Strandgate. Details shown in map (Norwegian text), red streak and symbol
  • Line 100 run alternative route in Kristiansand between 09:00 and 18:00, via Torridalsveien, Oddernestunnelen, Baneheitunnelen and Vestre Strandgate. Details shown in map (Norwegian text), red streak and symbol
  • Line 100 from Arendal at 10:00 and 10:30 has a detour via E18 and does not serve Grimstad Church and Grimstad Odden (use instead the stop Grimstad Town Hall or Vesøya)
  • Line 100 from Kristiansand at 09:15 and 09:45 has a detour via E18 and does not serve Grimstad Odden, Ibsen Museum and Grimstad Church (use instead of stop Vesøya or Grimstad Town Hall)
  • Line 101 from Arendal at 09:45 and 10:15 has a detour via E18 and does not serve Grimstad Church and Grimstad Odden (use instead of stop Grimstad Town Hall or Vesøya)
  • Line 101 from Resvik snuplass at 09:50 and 10:23 from Østerskogen has a detour via E18 and does not serve Grimstad Odden, Ibsen Museum and Grimstad Church (use instead of stop Vesøya or Grimstad Town Hall)
  • Line 102 from Arendal at 12:30 is cancelled between Sandnes School and Skare. From Skare at 12:56 is cancelled between Skare and Sandnesøyren
  • Line 105 starts from Arendal bus terminal B instead of D before 18:00
  • Line 110 uses Arendal bus terminal G instead of F in the direction Stoa - Myra before 18:00
  • Line 150 starts from Arendal bus terminal B instead of C before 18:00
  • Line 150 from Risør at 08:25, 10:25, 12:25 and 14:25 starts from Rema 1000 Kragsgate. From Arendal at 09:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 ends at Rema 1000 Kragsgate.
  • Night buses are not running

Mandal, Lindesnes and Lyngdal area with Farsund/Lista/Hægebostad:

Buses run Saturday timetables (without night bus), with the following exceptions:

  • Bryggegata closed. 
  • Line 200 departure at 00:48 from Mandal - Kristiansnad is not running
  • Line 204 runs via Halseveien all day
  • Line 200 at 09:35 and 15:35 Kristiansand - Lyngdal runs Skarvøyveien in and out of Mandal and uses Endresens gate as the city center stop. Hald stop is not served.
  • Line 200 at 09:05 Lyngdal - Kristiansand Skarvøyveien in and out of Mandal and uses Endresens gate as the city center stop. Hald stop is not served.
  • Line 230 at 10:05 from Lyngdal - Farsund does not run Alléen but via Kirkeveien and Grøndokka.
  • Line 230 at 09:05 from Borshavn - Lyngdal does not run via Alléen but via Grøndokka and onto Kirkeveien
  • Night bus is not running

Flekkefjord, Kvinesdal and Sirdal:

  • Buses run Saturday timetables.

AKT Svipp in Agder

In the following areas, AKT Svipp runs Saturday routes on May 17: 

  • Arendal, Sirdal and Mandal-Tangvall. 
  • In the other municipalities, AKT Svipp does not run on May 17.

24 May - Whitsun

25 May - Whitsun

  • Buses run Sunday timetables.
