Route changes in Agder from 22 June and 1 July 2026

On 22 June and 1 July 2026, a number of changes will be made to public transport services in Agder. The route changes affect lines 19, 30, 31, 32, 35, 36, 54, 55, 56, 92, 100, N100, 101, N101, 102, 103, 105, N110, 133, 140, 152, 170, 175, 178, 194, 200, 204 and 230. Below you can see whether these changes affect your journey.

Route changes from 22 June and 1 July 2026

Changes to bus and boat services in Agder will take effect from 22 June and 1 July. Updated timetables are available in the online travel planner.

Changes in the Kristiansand area, including Lillesand and Birkeland

Please note that summer timetables with reduced peak-hour services will operate on several routes in Kristiansand between 22 June and 9 August. Some peak-hour routes will be completely suspended during this period. Suspended peak-hour services are highlighted in the timetable plans.

NEW: Summer service in July – bus and boat trip in the Søgne archipelago

Route 41 Høllen – Kristiansand

As a trial service during July, a dedicated summer bus will operate between ferry route 92 (Høllen – Ny Hellesund – Høllen) and central Kristiansand. Route 41 will run daily with nine departures connecting all departures and arrivals of boat route 92 Høllen - Ny Hellesund - Høllen, operating between Kristiansand bus terminal, place 21 in Havnegata and Høllen via Tangvall.

Buses will have different running times throughout the day

Kristiansand will introduce adjusted journey times on routes affected by these changes. Timetables will be adapted to actual traffic conditions throughout the day. As a result, some departures may have slightly different travel times, particularly during peak periods.

Traffic volumes vary between rush hours and quieter periods. Therefore, some departures will have slightly longer or shorter journey times than today. This will make timetables more realistic and better adapted to actual conditions throughout the day.

The goal is to improve punctuality and provide passengers with a more predictable journey.

Route 19 Suldalen – Kvadraturen – UiA – Gimlekollen

  • To improve punctuality and reliability, actual journey times will be reflected in the timetable and service frequency will change from every 30 minutes to every 35 minutes.
  • Departure times will therefore vary from hour to hour throughout the day. Please consult the travel planner for details.

Routes 30/31 Kristiansand – Vennesla

  • Routes 30 and 31 will generally start and terminate at Grovane Station, north of Vennesla.
  • Service to and from Samkom will be reduced to selected peak-hour departures on Route 31 only.
  • Two morning departures on Route 31 will be discontinued.
  • Peak-hour frequency on Route 30 will begin earlier in the afternoon.
  • Actual journey times will be reflected in the timetable, resulting in varying departure times throughout the day.

Route 32 Høietun – Kvadraturen – Drangsvann

  • Route 32 will be extended to/from Drangsvann.
    • Passengers travelling to/from Høietun will be able to reach destinations such as the University of Agder with a single bus.
    • Passengers travelling to/from Drangsvann will be able to reach destinations such as Kvadraturen without changing buses.
  • Peak-hour frequency will begin earlier in the afternoon.
  • Departure times will vary throughout the day to reflect actual journey times.

Route 35 Kristiansand – Kjevik – Tveit

  • The route will generally start and terminate at the new turning loop at Brattvollsheia.
  • Service to/from Brattvoll Platå will be discontinued except for selected morning and afternoon peak-hour departures.
  • Timetables will be adjusted to reflect actual journey times.
  • Some morning departures to Kjevik will be operated by Route 36.
  • Some departures may be operated by Boreal Øst buses (green AKT livery).

Route 36 Birkeland – Tveit – Kristiansand

  • A new turning loop in Birkeland will become the starting and terminating stop for Routes 36 and 133.
  • The new stop, Birkeland snuplass, replaces Birkeland Tomta.
  • Some departures may be operated by Boreal Kristiansand buses (with a red longitudinal stripe).

Route 54 Drangsvann – UiA

  • Replaced by Route 32.

Route 55 Odderhei – Dvergsnes – Sørlandsparken

Route 56 Odderhei – Sømsveien – Rona

  • Discontinued.
  • The section of Sømsveien between Korsvikkrysset and Salbustadveien will be served by Route 55.

Ferry Route 92 Høllen – Ny Hellesund – Høllen

  • Adjusted departure times.
  • One additional trip via Borøya and Skarpøya during the school summer holiday.
  • Three additional trips to Ny Hellesund in July.

Route 133 Birkeland – Lillesand – Kroksteinsåsen

Route 139 Lillesand – Høvåg – Kristiansand

  • Will use Henrik Wergelands gate stop F instead of stop G.

Changes in the Grimstad – Arendal – Tvedestrand area

Route 100 Arendal – (Fevik) – Grimstad – Lillesand – Kristiansand

Night Bus N100 Kristiansand – Lillesand – Grimstad – Arendal

Route 100D Arendal – Kristiansand Direct

Route 100E Arendal – Grimstad / Lillesand – Kristiansand Express

Route 101 Eydehavn – Arendal – Fevik – Grimstad North/South

A better Saturday evening service will be introduced between Arendal and Grimstad, as well as locally within Grimstad. Together with Route 100, which serves Fevik in the evenings, departures will operate every 30 minutes in both directions.

  • The Sunday-morning night bus departure at 02:45 from Arendal to Jovannslia will be discontinued.

Ferry Route 194 Sandøya

  • The first school-day sailing changes from an on-demand departure to a scheduled departure.

Changes in the Mandal – Lista area

Route 200 Mandal – Kristiansand

Route 204 Taxus Mandal

Route 230 Borhaug – Vanse – Farsund – Lyngdal

  • Some departures from Route 237 transferred to Route 230.
  • Several departures merged and departure times adjusted.
  • The 21:05 departure from Borshavn to Lyngdal changes to 21:10.
  • The 18:05 departure from Borshavn to Lyngdal changes to 18:10.

Changes in Setesdal and Åseral

Route changes from 1 July. Please note that all buses in Setesdal will be operated using new AKT-branded vehicles from this date.

Route 170 Haukeli – Hovden – Evje – Kristiansand

  • New operating pattern in Hovden.
  • All departures will travel via Skisentervegen to and from Kristiansand.
  • Service changes and new electric buses will result in some timetable adjustments and bus transfers at Hovden Bus Station for passengers travelling beyond Hovden.
  • The weekday 18:45 departure from Kristiansand to Evje will be extended to Byglandsfjord.
  • During school holidays, the 13:15 departure from Kristiansand to Evje will also be extended to Byglandsfjord.

Route 175 Evje – Arendal

  • The 09:10 departure from Evje to Arendal will be discontinued.
  • The 15:35 departure from Arendal to Evje will operate only on Fridays during school holidays.
  • The 18:40 departure from Evje to Arendal will also operate Monday–Thursday on school days.
  • The Friday 20:25 departure from Arendal to Evje will be discontinued.

Route 178 Åseral – Dåsvannsdalen – Evje

  • Replaced by new Route 172.
  • The new route is primarily designed for upper-secondary students and operates via Sveindal, together with the AKT Svipp demand-responsive transport service in Åseral.

AKT Svipp in Åseral

  • Will primarily operate via the shortest route (Dåsvannsdalen) between Evje and Bortelid.
  • Connections will be available at Røynli Bridge to and from Kyrkjebygda and Ljosland.
  • Journeys must be booked at least two hours before departure.
